Reflection - 27 Sacrificial Sense of Love

                    Sacrificial Sense of Love

No greater love exists than to sacrifice one's life his / her people.

Wow... What a great saying... Isn't it?

But giving our life and not living it with those whom we love... Does it worth living?

I don't think so... We always wanted to live a life with our loved ones. Then what does it mean to sacrifice one's life???

In love one sacrifices his / her to desires, wishes, goals and the entire life into the other who he / she loves.

In love one has to pour out the life of oneself into the other self... So that the other is responsible for the fulfillment of your life. Similarly the other will replenish you with his / her goals into you so that you are responsible for their life.

I understand sacrifice in this way for a better mankind. We, as faithful, are entrusted in the hand of Priests and religious. Simultaneously the priests and religious are entrusted to our hands.

This sacrificial sense of responsibility is mutual and so Jesus said the kingdom of God is among you.

However humans are intrinsically not perfect we are given another important duty to love one another as Jesus loves us. Because He initiated the love. Since God so loved us, we ought to love one another. (1 John 4:11)

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

Since God gave his only son to us it is our utmost responsibility to give ourself to others in love which makes a true sense of sacrifice.

Let's Pray:
O Lord give us the sense of sacrifice in loving others. Amen.

Love heals 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

Special Reflection - Birth of John the Baptist

                 Birth of John Baptist

As we celebrate the Birth of St. John the Baptist, I thought of reflecting on his birth and our birth.

SJB born to prophesy the coming of Messiah... He was not born with silver spoon rather with a metal staff. His birth is a great example for our existence.

Was he born only to prophesy Messiah's coming or something else???

His purpose of coming is not only to announce Messiah's arrival but also to prepare the path that nobody has trodden.

His famous dictum is this... Repent.
Thus the path to kingdom of God is our heart.

But is only repentance his news?

Perhaps some more too...

His life is of both words and actions...

He was a field revolutionary. While he was in his mother's womb he leapt when Blessed Virgin Mary wished Elizabeth... He began his revolution at that very moment. He was then fostered by BVM's Magnificat.

We could see that spirit when he confronted the King for his adulterous relationship.

So he is a man of virtues: Honest, Humble, True to God, Courageous, Simple and sounding.

Let us examine ourselves...🤔🤔

# Do we really have the courage to confront immorality of a person?
If you do the world will question you: "Why do you worry about them, let them be on their own." If you don't do the world will mark you as indifferent and coward

# Do we really prepare our hearts for Messiah?
If yes the world would say good actor, expecting publicity. If no, then the world world would say: "Your prayer life is poor."

# Do we really fight for justice?
If yes, then you are an immoral person to the world since you question positions.
If no, then you are a selfish for the world.

Whatever we do there are people who criticize everything. It also happened to SJB and Jesus as well.

Let's take the least trodden path of SJB.

Let's pray:
Lord the Fighter of justice so honest let me also have courage in choosing the narrow way like St. John the Baptist. Amen
