Special Reflection - Hidden for a Hectic Mission

HIDDEN FOR A HECTIC MISSION

Today we celebrate the feast of the martyred apostles STS SIMON AND JUDE
If I ask anyone "who both are?" Many would refuse to tell many things about them. It doesn't mean they do not know about them but because nothing great is said about them...

St. Peter has a great legendary oration and was acknowledged by Jesus as Rock so on and so forth...

St. James has a great history of being a bishop of Jerusalem and a first apostle martyr and written an epistle of much importance.

St. Paul... Ha.... Need not say about his monumental works...

St. Matthew... A wonderful evangelist...

St. John... Close to Jesus, evangelist, theologian etc...

What about STS SIMON AND JUDE... what are they famous for...?
Atleast about St. Jude we know something but about Simon we know practically nothing....

Let us try to explore something about them...

Historically all the apostles except a few were missionaries... Like our India's apostle St. Thomas...

Sts Simon and Jude were also missionaries by ministry. They are verbal evangelists who practically converted many people from the middle East region.

What colossal lesson we could learn from them...

If we could keenly observe the title given to SIMON... it is said that he was a zealot. St. Simon was against the inhuman rule of Romans. He thought to himself Jesus as the Revolutionary and hence he followed Jesus. No big details were given in the Gospels about St. Simon but still we could see the transformation of him from a zealot into a missionary.
Jesus chose him purposely to have a crystal clear understanding of the attitude for the kingdom of God. So then St. Simon was fighting for the worldly freedom and Jesus changed him for to fight for a heavenly regime.

His death is still confusing... Some say he was crucified by King Trajan some others say that he was cut by a saw. Whatever it may be. HE DIED FOR JESUS.

ST. JUDE in his own ways a Martyr too. We came to know about him through the said history and by the experience of St. Bridgette who has got visions of Jesus' suffering. In which Jesus himself acknowledged St. Jude as the patron for hope of the hopeless.
We now flock to St. Jude's shrine... But still what symbolises St. Jude...

Is it the staff he holds??? Or the Fiery Split tongue on his head ???? Or the scroll with Jesus' face???... What else...

He is symbolised by the very commitment to his promise to Jesus and the simplicity on his mission.

We could see many famous apostles... But amidst them these two were hidden and simple... No much talking but much mission... In fact they were the hidden protectors of faith which no one can easily take out from them.

Let us also pray to Jesus to be his hidden companions kept within his heart for a greater mission of spreading God's word through our lives.

Let us pray
O Jesus the saviour, may my heart bend towards your beautiful heart and melt in your precious blood for a mission for your love. Amen.

Reflection 40 - Forgiveness is Humanness

Forgiveness is Humanness

Is it that easy to forgive anyone???🤔

I hope it is quite tough to forgive anybody who has committed a mistake. Even intensively if a person has committed something against your wish & will, it is all the more tougher to forgive that particular person, even unto the point of death.

What actually makes a human to react in such a way?
I wonder if you are a human, you have to react to what is against you. But Jesus says something that is opposite to the above. Jesus says to forgive, "Not seven times, but, seventy- seven times. (Mt 18:22)

Oh My God.... How is this possible... It means I should forgive a person until I die....?

Yes, my dear Brethren.

Forgiveness is what makes a human divine. Jesus died as a human on the cross but the very moment He forgave the people who put him into death His resurrection was made possible. It is sure that the last breath of Forgiveness of Jesus is the point of convergence of His divinity and our humanity.
What big deal we're gonna make out by not forgiving a person??? 🤔🤔🤔
 Practically nothing.

Forgiveness arises in various ways. I try my best to figure the ways in which Forgiveness can be accomplished.
We forgive a person on any of the following criteria.

1. Forgiving - When the virility of sin is less
2. Forgiving - When you love that person
3. Forgiving - When the person commits the sin for the first time.
4. Forgiving - When the person really regret for his fault.
5. Forgiving - When the person is not aware of his mistake.
6. Forgiving - When the person is much younger than you.
7. Forgiving - When a person is known of his/her sins yet does not know how to come out.

But Jesus' Forgiveness surpasses all these. Jesus wants us to forgive just UNCONDITIONALLY.
He wants us to forgive a person not because he/she commits a small sins or you love that person or only if the person regrets bla bla bla...

But just he/she is a human. Because humanness is hidden in Forgiveness.

St. Augustine would beautifully say “Forgiveness is the remission of sins. For it is by this that what has been lost, and was found, is saved from being lost again.”

God gave us two invaluable things to live life fully.

1. Freedom to Choose the right
2. Forgiveness to do the right.

Let us freely choose Forgiveness as the armour of God to fight the evil of vengeance.

Let's Pray:
O Lord who shed blood for my sins, make me drop my tears for to forgive until I drop blood. Amen.

Reflection 39 - Be Importunate for Christ

Be Importunate For Christ

Have you ever got irritated by anybody who often disturbs you in a way that you did not like????

Almost all of us have experienced that moment atleast once in our life time. I was just flashed with the thoughts of a beautiful parable that appeared only once among Gospels.

The Parable of an Importunate Friend at Midnight

(I give my personal views here, other may vary)
Being taken up by the thoughts I started reflecting upon the parable. There are different versions of naming this Viz., A Friend at Midnight, A Persistent Friend, etc.

But I was sure that I should choose the word Importunate which fits the parable. 👇
In life being persistent in achieving our goals is a very important and a virtuous behaviour we could exhibit. Nevertheless the heightened expression of this virtue is to be persistent for the genuine need of the needy. The Importunate friend's parable explicably presents three elements.

# Time of the plea : Midnight
# Normal Friend's family Vs Knocking one's familiar friend
# Hesitation of the Friend inside and Importunate knocking of the Friend outside

Let us analyse the above elements. Let us take the reluctant friend as Friend inside and the pleading friend as Friend outside.
The firm's outside reaches the friend inside during midnight. Obviously midnight is the time for us to be in seventh heaven. The friend outside knowing all these comes the friend inside at midnight. But at this place we should also think of the situation of the friend outside. He should have also been asleep at that time. But the friend outside sacrifices his sleep for a friend who has arrived at midnight.

I remembered the words of Jesus here 👇
after all the friend outside sacrificed his sleep. That's about the time of the event. We could see the dichotomy of expressions with regard to time.

Then, Family in Abundance Vs Friend in Need
The friend inside wakes up to say that his family is sleeping and not to give food at the first time. If the friend inside has given food for the first time, the Friend outside would have not been so Importunate. The saddest part of the parable is the friend inside is a neighbor of the one outside. But still he never looks on to his outside friend's hunger. On the contrary the poor and hungry friend outside has the heart to give bread to a friend visited him though he himself starves.
I now remember Jesus says👇
But the friend outside did all the above and lived Jesus' words. For it is said "Do not pass by a man in need, you may be the hand of God to him" (Prov. 3:27) The friend outside found himself higher in god's sight by helping a friend but the friend inside loses the opportunity to be higher. St. Paul would beautifully put this attitude in one verse 👇
Thirdly Hesitation Vs Importunate Knocking

When a person will be Importunate?
Mostly when he/she is in a dire need.

Here the friend outside exhibits a selfless attitude because he never asks the friend inside for his sustenance, not for his family, but for a friend who has arrived, which means the friend may be a nomad, might not be known yet he addresses as friend, even if he is known may not be so close because he was far away. Amidst all these possibilities the friend outside exhibits a due welcome for him. The continuous plea of the friend outside arrives out of the continuous hesitation of the friend inside.

What brings us home???

Finally the message is when we are Persistent in being virtuous you are all the more demanded to be Importunate. Being Importunate for Christ is the greater message we could get from this parable. If anything worthy for let us be virtuous in being Importunate.

Let's Pray:
Lord, Thank you for your persistent love and persevering mercy. Heal me so that I may be Importunate in loving you. Amen.

Reflection 38 - Indifference to Pessimism: A Key to Patience

Indifference To Pessimism: A Key to Patience

We are often advised to be patient in hard times, wait for the right time to come, you need to relax in order to get things done.... Bla... Bla... Bla...

Wooffff.... So boring isn't it?

In our life we try to reach out to many goals. Ultimately we end up with the aim of our life. If everything goes well with the endeavors we take up, we are happy all the more.

But what if we are under trouble in achieving the goal we aimed at??? We feel down & weak. We are always strengthened by our motivations. The motivational factor could be anybody or anything. Even a fast running fan can be our motivation. Small Ant can be our motivation.

But what if the motivation stops with the word PATIENCE... WAITING... GIVE TIME...
.......

If you have not experienced try to experience... When you are so honest but still we could not achieve what we want in right time, then, what is the use of getting it in a time we never wanted?

Those who advise us has forgotten the attitude of Mother Mary towards Jesus during the wedding at Cana. IF NOT NOW THEN WHEN...

Life of INDIFFERENCE TO PESSIMISM might probably help us in this regard. At the same time indifference in general can ruin our life if we use in all instances of our life.

MOVING ON from the place where you did not get the thing done after being patient for so long is always wisdom. Because we may not know when the thing will happen. Better to spend in other rightful place is much wiser than to wait for the abstract reality.

Was Jesus Indifferent in Bible???

Yes, He was.
Jesus was Indifferent to evil all the time. Jesus never minded illegitimate laws rather he used all the opportunities to glorify God. Though he stood for the Good people he was put into trial. He was patient for 33 years for a sure death of glory. Many hastened that some delayed that yet Jesus attained in a right time he wanted.

Let us learn the art of moving on to achieve our legitimate goals of our life.

Let's Pray:
Lord let you be my goal of life. Amen.

Reflection 37 - Hope Sustains in a Corner

Hope Sustains in a Corner

When life takes you to trials and tribulations, to the point of dying only hope Sustains it being in a corner of difficulties.
Only this hope is the best thing to cling on to in our life. If a person leaves behind everything and follows God, he / she makes a big sacrifice and follows Him. The amount of pain they undergo is countless as well as the joy they get in serving humanity is also countless.

This could happen even to a social activist, service minded people, those who help poor amidst crisis, etc. What big deal is to embrace a life of sacrifice is this: Life has a meaningful purpose.

In order to lead such life enormous patience and tolerance is needed. We may seem to lose our life in the journey of a sacrificial life but life falls into the sea of bliss by crossing a whirling storm.
We could see disciples were not properly oriented to their purpose until resurrection. Jesus had to cross the struggles of earthly life in order to explicitly depict the way to the life in heaven.

Hope arises in a hopeless situation. Confidence is different from hope. Hope plays its role in its absence but not confidence. Confidence seeks possibilities rather Hope seeks impossibilities wherein believes in God.

Psalmist would beautifully say,
Psalm 33: 18–19

"The eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine."

Let's Pray:

Lord increase my hope in all situations. Amen.

Reflection - 36 Forgive Until It's out of Hand

Forgive Until It's out of Hand

We see people never talk to their relatives or friends for years because of a small misunderstanding. Some woukd even forget the incident but still hold onto the zealous attitude.

At times I feel so sad that those whom keep their bitter feelings never really enjoy life in abundance. This long gap eventually makes our heart rigid. We become stone hearted.

Forgiving is a two way process. One cannot simply forgive another who is not in need of that. Sometimes we lose the meaning of forgiveness by thinking that 'though he/she never comes back I forgive them.'

Forgiveness is not simply an object thrown in front of pigs. Forgiveness shows the true self of a person. A person with real love can easily forgive. Scientifically forgiving oneself and another heals many psychological sicknesses.

The first step to guide a person is to forgive his faults and forget his past.

Jesus was a perfect example in making out forgiveness a sumptuous meal. Jesus taught us to forgive through His and death on Cross.

Jesus made enormous attempts to forgive the sins of known and unknown. Nobody in this world is aptly configured to Christ in forgiving.

Let's Pray:
Lord grant me the patience to forgive myself and others until I die. Amen

Reflection - 35 Opportunities: Gotten, Given & Grabbed

Opportunities: Gotten, Given & Grabbed

Humans always want to prove themselves to the world. We want to attain immortality through fame. We achieve something, actuate something, afford something, etc. only to prove ourselves worthy and powerful.

How could we get this...?

We need an opportunity

Opportunities are of three types
# Opportunities Gotten
# Opportunities Given
# Opportunities Grabbed

We could people experience all these three in their life of struggle. For all these three can vary according to the time and according to the persons.

# Opportunities Gotten

This is the first ever encounter in our life. One needs to be very careful in dealing with this. Because this will lead to other great opportunities. But no problem if you lose it. Initially people who get Opportunities are chosen randomly for that. Hence the first level needs a keen attention in making this to the maximum.

Jesus' first opportunity came to him when he was at the wedding ceremony at Cana. Though He refused in the beginning yet he found the right time to glorify God. He used the opportunity gotten.

# Opportunities Given

People find you better when you are actually better in doing justice to your opportunities. Yet this also varies according to persons. A person who refused to give a chance to another is actually sick of his ownself. Nobody in this world is perfect hence giving an opportunity is always a better way to try for a new one. A beautiful saying will prove this statement: " Known Devil is better than Unknown Angel."
Jesus was given (invited) to many places to do miracles. God the Father has given Him plenty of opportunities to perform miracles, show signs etc.

We could see them during
- woman suffered due to hemorrhage
- plea of Canaanite woman
- feeding the multitude
- calming the storm
- healing the demoniac
- curing the sick etc.

# Opportunities Grabbed

This area is a little peculiar one. We need to work on to attain this area. Grabbing the opportunity is not so simple. We need to compete with many factors. Perhaps they are the culture, caste, religion, society, age, advancements, etc. Grabbing can also interpreted as taking or volunteering. In order to grab the opportunity we need prudence as the best source of attaining it and focus, interest & hardwork as the means of fulfilling it.

Jesus also grabbed certain opportunities to glorify God.

- The very birth to become human
- Explaining the Kingdom amidst doctors of the Church
- Baptism by John the Baptist
- Conversation with Samaritan woman
- Eating with Zacchaeus
- Cleansing the Temple
- Forgiving the Good Thief
- Death even on a Cross

Thus, achieving great heights is only a matter of how we use the various opportunities.

Let's Pray:
O Lord, Get my life in You by Your Given love so as to Grab me in Your Heart. Amen.

Reflection 34 Love in its Demand

 Love in its Demand

Love Your Neighbors as Yourself ( Mark 12:31)

We most often misunderstood the above said Bible verse.

In order to love our neighbors  we need to live ourselves first. But the self love is misinterpreted as selfishness many times.

Self love varies in three levels...

1. Egoistic Self (நான் மட்டும் நன்றாக வாழ வேண்டும்)

2. Selfish (நான் நன்றாக வாழ வேண்டும்)

3. Self Centered (என்னை மையப்படுத்தி அனைத்தும் நிகழ வேண்டும்)

Jesus' love for others starts from the self and ends in others.

Let's Pray:

Oh lord give me the courage to love myself correctly so as to love others selflessly. Amen.

Reflection - 33 When You are Not Wanted

            When You are Not Wanted

Have your ever felt being in a place where you are not wanted but still stood embarrassingly???

Perhaps many of us would have experienced that situation. The intensity of the incident may vary according to persons.

* It may in your friend's gang or
* Your relatives circle or
* Amidst your peer group etc.

What would have been your reaction to those situations?

Walking away from that place will always be the wise decision. When you are not wanted why do we stay there? Does friendship really do that?? A real relationship will never want us not wanted.

Jesus becomes a very good example when he moves away from Pharisees and Sadducees while they tried to kill him and not wanted him to become an icon of revolution.

Hence taking Jesus as a great example let us walk away from the place where we are not wanted. One day as Mother Mary said God will exalt the lowly and raise us on high

Let's Pray
O Lord of Love, May your love be with me whenever I am rejected. Amen.

Reflection - 31 He(art) of Friendship

                     He(art) of Friendship

(On International Friendship Day - July 30)

Tell me who is your friend and I will tell you who you are said by Socrates.

We all celebrate a day to wish a friend. It is always beautiful to have a friend on our side to give his shoulder on all occasions.

But in this fast running world and amidst this pandemic we get confused to find out

Who is a friend?
What is friendship?
How to find a real friend?
How to befriend someone?

Lots of questions pop up in our mind. I can't give a complete theorised answer for the above questions. Because it varies with persons. Friendship is also a very holy, genuine and important in one's life. Friendship is no lesser compared to marital love.

In marriage we become a part of a new family but in friendship part of many families become one.

Favouritism in friendship happens all the time. But a genuine friend will support you only for the good of yours even at the cost of losing himself.

A friend is someone who never knows you fully but who knows the better part of you truly. His/her ears are the one which stays so long to your lamentations and never easily closes.

A friend can be your well-wisher when you do good, as well as your better enemy when you are bad at times.

Neither a person who always accompanies you is your friend nor a person whom you want to accompany with.

A person who openly confronts your mistakes can be your best friend too.

Jesus had friends and he gave a meaning to his friendship. He danced, ate, drank Moreover taught,  forgave, accepted, confronted, and at last gave up his life as he said.

Let's Pray:
O Lord befriend my soul. Amen.

Listen to the song and feel the friendship of Jesus👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

Reflection - 30 Humility Matters

                          Humility Matters
Humility... Humility... Humility...

Why do people insist so much on it? Why should we make others just to walk onto stamp us for just being humble?🤔🧐🤔🧐

Most of the times I felt so bad when people irritate me but I go in silence... Is that humility? Or When others pretend as though they are holy to walk in a very easy path to success and we sit in a corner of a thorny bush.... Is that humility?🤔🤔🧐🧐

I wonder how to find a humble person in this fast running selfish world. How could this humility takes up its place today???

Being silent for all matters is not humility...
It's Indifference
Being a dump follower is not humility...
It's blind obedience
Being fearful is not humility...
It's cowardice
Being a புடிச்சு வச்ச புள்ளையாரு for social evil is not humility
It's  நமக்கு எதுக்கு வேண்டாத வேலை

Then what is humility?
😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

In order to explain this simply Confucius comes to our mind. He says Humility is the solid foundation of all virtues. You might have heard this in a different way.

"Humility is the Mother of all Virtues."

Let us analyse how...

# Take for example Honesty: A very basic element of being so honest is to find out what is right and what is not. When we have "I know everything" attitude we won't be able to get the right thing into our mind and so we cannot be right all the time.

# Trustworthy: When will you be considered trustworthy? Only when you behave selflessly with honesty to those whomsoever concerned. This trustworthiness arises in a person only if he / she gains the confidence of being in a state to believe you in some serious matters.

How will they gain that belief in you ??? Only when we are humble enough to listen to them. When we give our ears soaked in time, they will give their enough to us. Because...
Not only honesty, trustworthiness or selflessness carry humility in their bosom but all the other virtues do it. Only when we are humble we will learn. If not our learning just stops at that very moment when we think 'I know that you shut up'. Pride never even gives a small mat for humility to sleep in a corner of its room.

Hence Saint Augustine would beautifully say
Let us be learn the art of being humble.

Choosing the right for ourselves and helping others to choose it, is humility...
Forgiveness is humility...
Selfless service is humility...
Empathy comes from humility...

In My personal perspective
"Drive off yourself by making others happy in their  life and being happy by watching them smile (laugh) and getting intoxicated in the service humankind is a better form of humility."

Jesus did that....
# In Blind man's life,
# For the deaf, dumb & lame
# For Zacchaeus
# For Canaanite, Samaritan women
# For Mary Magdalene & the Prostitute woman
# For Dismas, the good their at the time of death.
Even He showed the best for humility at the time of His Last Supper when he washed the feet of His Disciples.

So let us be humble inside Jesus for
Let's Pray:
Lord lead me in the path less trodden for humility and make me an instrument to prosper it through your grace. Amen.

Reflection - 29 Epitome of Silence

                   Epitome of Silence

After a cozy weekend. we try to manage ourselves better with the weekdays. Being  prisoners of this pandemic we become lazy children. Perhaps not physically...

We have almost forgotten the calender, I wonder people whom I meet often ask "what is the date?" especially these days.

Mobile phones have become our full time entertainment. We become extremely digitalised. Though becoming a techsavy seems to be good in this digital world, this curfew cuts out our relationship with our families, friends, relatives and very importantly God.

We would never have imagined the sacred events could be celebrated in screens. We were all in a colossal dilemma to whether support this fast running techy world or not, yet eventually we ended being part of the supporters.
Humanity has become an Android generation. Once we ate red rounded apples, now we swipe metallic flat apples.

We are in love with our gadgets more than humans. Let us think... What could be the possible way to bring back this situation?

Possibly the answer is... Impossible.

Nevertheless dating our own emotions and spending time in silence with no tech gadgets around you... Just think of that moment...

Some might become mad to just leave their cell phone a minute... But this gives us a real smell of self freedom.

Jesus did not experience any such tech products but he taxed himself with his ministries. However he made sure that he spent his silent hours with His father. He enjoy the company of banging silence.

Jesus prepared himself during silence. A prayerful silence teach you the reality.

Psalmist would quote God's word like this : "Be still and know that I am God" ( Ps 46.10)

Let's Pray:
O Lord Jesus, Make me a Channel of your peace. Amen.

Let's listen to this peaceful song of life👇

Reflection - 28 Trust Resides in God

                Trust Resides in God

When we feel like we are abandoned by everyone whom we trust, then life teaches you that no one will be there till the end.

When we feel like we are deceived then life tells you that no one is trustworthy.

When we feel like we are being used and thrown out then life says to you that though you are useful the world wants not you but only your talent.

When you feel hopeless then life tells you, you need someone who can truly love you.

But at all times...

Life gives you a ray of hope which can really transform your life... That ray of hope is none but GOD.

Hearing this may bring you an absurd feeling. Trusting in an unknown entity, not being visible, no talking, unknown love... Etc. etc. bring you a quite travel into an unexpected realm of uncertainties.

Yet that is much better to trust than to live among the people of unfaithful world.

Believing in God brings you a soothing experience... It fosters our conscience to a greater morality and insists our heart for a better humanity.

As Psalmist would rightly say, "Take refuge in God that to trust Mortals" (Ps118:8)

Let's Pray: (in the words of Vedas)

Asatoma Satgamaya Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya Mrityorma Amritamgamaya Om Shanthi! Shanthi! Shanthi!

Which means

O dear Lord bring us back

From Untruth to Truth, From Darkness to Light, From Death to Life, Om Peace Peace Peace.

Amen

Reflection - 27 Sacrificial Sense of Love

                    Sacrificial Sense of Love

No greater love exists than to sacrifice one's life his / her people.

Wow... What a great saying... Isn't it?

But giving our life and not living it with those whom we love... Does it worth living?

I don't think so... We always wanted to live a life with our loved ones. Then what does it mean to sacrifice one's life???

In love one sacrifices his / her to desires, wishes, goals and the entire life into the other who he / she loves.

In love one has to pour out the life of oneself into the other self... So that the other is responsible for the fulfillment of your life. Similarly the other will replenish you with his / her goals into you so that you are responsible for their life.

I understand sacrifice in this way for a better mankind. We, as faithful, are entrusted in the hand of Priests and religious. Simultaneously the priests and religious are entrusted to our hands.

This sacrificial sense of responsibility is mutual and so Jesus said the kingdom of God is among you.

However humans are intrinsically not perfect we are given another important duty to love one another as Jesus loves us. Because He initiated the love. Since God so loved us, we ought to love one another. (1 John 4:11)

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

Since God gave his only son to us it is our utmost responsibility to give ourself to others in love which makes a true sense of sacrifice.

Let's Pray:
O Lord give us the sense of sacrifice in loving others. Amen.

Reflection - 26 Love amidst Rejection

                   Love amidst Rejection

Let us recall the moments when we rejected someone's love for us by just using them at the time of our need and throwing them off like a dog???

Sometime or the other we would have done it in Our life. We might not be aware of that yet we had done that.

At the same we would have also experienced a humiliating rejection by the one, whom we have loved a lot.

Karma awaits...

Okay let us make a small analysis...

Why we face such situation... Either rejecting someone or being rejected by someone.

Most of the times we are blind in finding out the true colour persons who love us and who use us.

Many try to use us... Mostly... Because we are born selfish... Selfishness is an inborn character of ourselves or say to be very decent in saying this... We are born to fight and survive in this world.

Nevertheless we too experience the same rejection...

Love is a peculiar object... Like a magical mirror ball through which you can see one's heart. For those who value it, it shows its magic and for those who do not value it, it is just a paper.

Jesus was very particular in showing love even under thorough rejections. He never hesitated to show mercy on the good ones as well as on the sinners.

He never took up rejection as the symbol of hatredness but as a sign of ignorance. Hence Jesus forgave them even on the cross. Hence we call his love as unconditional because it is the only love that understands humans as humans and not as phenomenal judging panels.

If we do not love the one who loves us... Why don't we tell them instead of using their goodness for your selfish self?

Let us be very genuine atleast in loving someone truly. There is no love that is stained in dirt but is stabbed in heart.

Jesus' love is stabbed one but not a dirt stained rather blood stained for the salvation of humanity.

Let's Pray:
Lord the love incarnate, stain me in your blood to love you and others selflessly. Amen.

Reflection - 25 Prepare Your Last Tick

                   Prepare Your Last Tick

What happens when the ticking clock stops suddenly?

😶😶😶😶

Sorry I don't know....

But what if the notice comes prior to your concern?

What will be the first thing you do?

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I would definitely go and sleep.

You may wonder how would that moment be!!!

But worrying about the last ticking of our life is not so easy as we think it is very difficult to handle.

Only a person who is prepared for the last minute of life will have peaceful heart.

Do not hesitate to believe that someone will accompany you during your last journey. Because they have their own.

A well prepared soul will surely rest in God.

St. Augustine would beautifully say O Lord, Our soul will not rest until it rests in you.

Why don't we use these quarantine days to prepare ourselves for a peaceful death...

I may sound little odd in saying that. But that is a factual statement.

If you are well aware of your death date please make sure the day before your death prepare your death bed.

But if not start preparing for your death from now onwards. Contemplate on the death day. How do you want your death be ?

If you have dreamt about that... Then off you go. Start now.

Jesus was well aware of his death. He wanted such a filthy death to prove mankind that forgiveness, mercy, love surpass death to immortal life.

Jesus is immortal, isn't he?

Yes, he is immortal as Human and eternal as God.

Let's Pray:
O Lord Our soul will not rest until it rests in you. Amen

Reflection - 24 Smile Miles

                          Smile Miles

Smile at every situation

We may at times think who the hell said this statement.

Is it so easy to smile or laugh at worse situations???

Definitely not. Nobody can easily smile when they are sad.

Nobody can easily smile at the demise of their loved ones.

Nobody can actually smile at their utter sickness.

But why should people say that?

We would have seen successful persons putting smile on their face all times as we put masks these days.

Does it mean they don't have problems?

Some of them are suffering behind their smiling faces. Yet they smile outside.

Is this not a bloody idea to hide the original feelings of ours?

Yes very bad😡😡😡

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

But still people say that.... Why?

Let us do a subtle analysis...

What happens when we smile... Physiologically a hormone is released when we smile which increases the adrenaline to be more energetic and positive.

Psychologically when we smile at others it will dissolve the negative aura around you as well as the person we smile at.

But it is very difficult at the time of death.

Smiling at others when we meet them will initiate a polite and positive response from them. This is a very good sign of stirring the humane values of persons.

William Arthur would say

A warm smile is the universal language of kindness

Yes that's absolutely true. Smile adds beauty to our face.

Did Jesus say anything about this???🤔🤔🤔

Jesus says when you fast do not put a gloomy face like hypocrites.

He wants us to smile even under hard circumstances for He says Father in heaven, the one who sees the hidden will answer your prayers.

Hiding our hard times inside to be revealed only to God is more divine than usual.

Smile now and often... God answers you😁😁😁

Let's Pray:
O Lord the joy incarnate, hide me in your smiling heart. Amen.

Reflection - 23 Nail Your Failure

                     Nail Your Failure
Once there was a person who often fails in what he was doing. One day......

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Do you think that I am going to tell a story...????

Nah....

But there are persons not only 'once' but also 'now and then' faces failure.

It is easy to say Failure is the stepping stone to success. But it is very difficult to take up things lightly.

We put our hard work, practice day and night, put all our efforts but at the end of the day we fail...

Is it so easy to say Let go dude, do well next time?

Yet another day of practice breaks you down too lower than before. Experiencing such insults and pain amidst all our efforts is a great havoc in our life.

Yet what made us fail in that life sport. Have you ever thought of that?

Most of the time we practice like others for their competition but we forget to compete with us first.

You know, Jesus is an utter failure in this world, he was tempted, rejected, angry, scolded as glutton and possessed, prodigal, eating and walking with sinners... at the end he was given the worst death of crucifixion.

What made him so successful till now.....

His own way of being human.
He died... Yes... But he never stopped with that.... He resurrected from the human failure to a divine success.

We need our own moral way of becoming success. You may die for failure but resurrect to be successful.

Let's pray:
Jesus the Lord of resurrection be my soul and renew me for a new of success in you. Amen.

Reflection - 22 Truth Alone is God

                       Truth Alone is God

We have heard people say, Take a coffee, Take a nap, Take your time etc.

Very rarely we hear people say Take a day off

Only when we finish doing their job we could hear them saying Hey buddy, Good job, Take a day off.

Why should they give a day off for us? Do we not have self respect? Are we not humans too?

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

But what underlies all these forces?????

We are humans....... Yes
We have self respect..... Yes
We can freely decide for ourselves.... Yes, Ofcourse

But what determines all these factors????.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

We are truly responsible for the work that has been entrusted to us. In order to fulfil that responsibility our hard work comes into play.

So when we work hard so to fulfil the responsibility don't get weary rather be happy for

What you are is determined by what you do

And also be aware of the Utilitarianistic attitudes posed on you. Do your duty it doesn't mean we are not slaves for everyone.

Doing our job is good, helping the needy is better, being aware of not being misused is the best.

Jesus came to this world to fulfill his duty to save humankind and love them and he did that and fulfilled his responsibility as human as well as god.

Jesus says that his duty is to proclaim Truth.

What is Truth? God is truth

He fulfilled his responsibility

God is Truth and he is God

He is God hence He is Truth

Let's Pray:
Lord the Universal Truth, make me aware of my responsibilities to fulfill and to become more humane. Amen.

Reflection - 21 Just Move On, It's not Easy

Just Move On, It's not Easy
People easily say moving on in life is the best option to be successful. Sometimes moving on is the best way to be selfish...

Is it so?🤔🤔🤔

Yes. Have you ever felt so hard to move on from the circumstances in which you enjoy the most?

Yes it is hard to do so...

Why should people say move on... Because they feel it will hurt you more...

But is there anything that is more hurting than to move on... I don't think so😐

Yes moving on is very hard and sometimes we will suffocate when we happen to move on.

Especially it will pain like stabbing on your chest when you move on from a loved one.

When people treat you like they don't care, believe them.

We may be so honest in relationship but we can't expect the other to be the same.

You lose yourself trying to hold onto someone who doesn't care about losing you.

Though it is hurting and difficult, yet we have to move on. More than your pain your happiness is very important.

Stop looking for happiness in the same place you lost it.

Better and wise decision in life is to throw away the past which will be a nightmare until you are ready to move on.

Never expect the past to love you again because past is already dead. Inhale the future to live the rest of your life.

Jesus taught this attitude of moving on in his call for the disciples. Jesus asked the disciples to Follow Him by leaving the boats, parents, wealth and everything just to move on with Him.

Even particularly we could see that moving on incident in the case of Mary Magdalene, who enjoy prostituting herself. But a drastic encounter with Jesus told her to move on. She did it.

Why can't we???

Let's do it... Follow Jesus... Move on... You will find the Truth...

Let's Pray:
Lord be my boat to move me on to the whirl of your love. Amen.

Let the good shepherd lead you to green pastures👇👇👇👇
