Special Reflection - Ignatian Ignition: Life after Failure

        Ignatian Ignition: Life after Failure
(On the feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola - July 31)

Happy Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola

Today's feast reminds us a very important thing in life which is a lesson for Life after failure

Ignatius was a brave soldier, handsome and hardworker, talented yet tamed and so on.

He though a perfect man who went behind all worldly pleasure God saw the imperfect Saint hidden in him.

God never wanted a wordly Ignatius fit as fiddle rather an Ignatius broken string to play a Jesuit tune in future.

So what could we learn from St. Ignatius of Loyola is this

If you are so weak... You are blessed
If you are rejected... You are blessed
If you are not being loved... You are blessed
If you are less talented... You are blessed
If you are humiliated and mocked... You are blessed
If you live a sinful life... You are blessed
If you are being used and thrown... You are blessed
If your honesty is suspected... You are blessed
If you bear sufferings for Christ... You are blessed

For God came to this world for the above people... YOU & ME

Be happy when you are not accepted by anyone for God knows your value and he will place you on high.

Be happy when you are put under merciless dictative authority and experience agony.

When you are helpless

When you are alone

When you feel dejected

When you spirit faints

Do not worry for God Sees You

Just do a one word prayer of St. Ignatius of Loyola which gave enormous strength to him during his spiritual journey.

MAGIS (மாஜிஸ்)

which means Some More (இன்னும்)

He asked for more sufferings and pains to undergo a thorough inward experience with Jesus.

We need this Magis experience. We pray God to give more and more tasks, troubles but we also pray for his grace to live it better.

Gabriel Marcel, an existentialist philosopher would beautifully strengthen St. Ignatius' Magis experience.
Life is not a problem to be solved but a mystery to be lived.

Let us live this mystical life and taste God in this Magis experience.

Let's Pray:
MAGIS. AMEN

Reflection - 31 He(art) of Friendship

                     He(art) of Friendship

(On International Friendship Day - July 30)

Tell me who is your friend and I will tell you who you are said by Socrates.

We all celebrate a day to wish a friend. It is always beautiful to have a friend on our side to give his shoulder on all occasions.

But in this fast running world and amidst this pandemic we get confused to find out

Who is a friend?
What is friendship?
How to find a real friend?
How to befriend someone?

Lots of questions pop up in our mind. I can't give a complete theorised answer for the above questions. Because it varies with persons. Friendship is also a very holy, genuine and important in one's life. Friendship is no lesser compared to marital love.

In marriage we become a part of a new family but in friendship part of many families become one.

Favouritism in friendship happens all the time. But a genuine friend will support you only for the good of yours even at the cost of losing himself.

A friend is someone who never knows you fully but who knows the better part of you truly. His/her ears are the one which stays so long to your lamentations and never easily closes.

A friend can be your well-wisher when you do good, as well as your better enemy when you are bad at times.

Neither a person who always accompanies you is your friend nor a person whom you want to accompany with.

A person who openly confronts your mistakes can be your best friend too.

Jesus had friends and he gave a meaning to his friendship. He danced, ate, drank Moreover taught,  forgave, accepted, confronted, and at last gave up his life as he said.

Let's Pray:
O Lord befriend my soul. Amen.

Listen to the song and feel the friendship of Jesus👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

Reflection - 30 Humility Matters

                          Humility Matters
Humility... Humility... Humility...

Why do people insist so much on it? Why should we make others just to walk onto stamp us for just being humble?🤔🧐🤔🧐

Most of the times I felt so bad when people irritate me but I go in silence... Is that humility? Or When others pretend as though they are holy to walk in a very easy path to success and we sit in a corner of a thorny bush.... Is that humility?🤔🤔🧐🧐

I wonder how to find a humble person in this fast running selfish world. How could this humility takes up its place today???

Being silent for all matters is not humility...
It's Indifference
Being a dump follower is not humility...
It's blind obedience
Being fearful is not humility...
It's cowardice
Being a புடிச்சு வச்ச புள்ளையாரு for social evil is not humility
It's  நமக்கு எதுக்கு வேண்டாத வேலை

Then what is humility?
😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

In order to explain this simply Confucius comes to our mind. He says Humility is the solid foundation of all virtues. You might have heard this in a different way.

"Humility is the Mother of all Virtues."

Let us analyse how...

# Take for example Honesty: A very basic element of being so honest is to find out what is right and what is not. When we have "I know everything" attitude we won't be able to get the right thing into our mind and so we cannot be right all the time.

# Trustworthy: When will you be considered trustworthy? Only when you behave selflessly with honesty to those whomsoever concerned. This trustworthiness arises in a person only if he / she gains the confidence of being in a state to believe you in some serious matters.

How will they gain that belief in you ??? Only when we are humble enough to listen to them. When we give our ears soaked in time, they will give their enough to us. Because...
Not only honesty, trustworthiness or selflessness carry humility in their bosom but all the other virtues do it. Only when we are humble we will learn. If not our learning just stops at that very moment when we think 'I know that you shut up'. Pride never even gives a small mat for humility to sleep in a corner of its room.

Hence Saint Augustine would beautifully say
Let us be learn the art of being humble.

Choosing the right for ourselves and helping others to choose it, is humility...
Forgiveness is humility...
Selfless service is humility...
Empathy comes from humility...

In My personal perspective
"Drive off yourself by making others happy in their  life and being happy by watching them smile (laugh) and getting intoxicated in the service humankind is a better form of humility."

Jesus did that....
# In Blind man's life,
# For the deaf, dumb & lame
# For Zacchaeus
# For Canaanite, Samaritan women
# For Mary Magdalene & the Prostitute woman
# For Dismas, the good their at the time of death.
Even He showed the best for humility at the time of His Last Supper when he washed the feet of His Disciples.

So let us be humble inside Jesus for
Let's Pray:
Lord lead me in the path less trodden for humility and make me an instrument to prosper it through your grace. Amen.

Reflection - 29 Epitome of Silence

                   Epitome of Silence

After a cozy weekend. we try to manage ourselves better with the weekdays. Being  prisoners of this pandemic we become lazy children. Perhaps not physically...

We have almost forgotten the calender, I wonder people whom I meet often ask "what is the date?" especially these days.

Mobile phones have become our full time entertainment. We become extremely digitalised. Though becoming a techsavy seems to be good in this digital world, this curfew cuts out our relationship with our families, friends, relatives and very importantly God.

We would never have imagined the sacred events could be celebrated in screens. We were all in a colossal dilemma to whether support this fast running techy world or not, yet eventually we ended being part of the supporters.
Humanity has become an Android generation. Once we ate red rounded apples, now we swipe metallic flat apples.

We are in love with our gadgets more than humans. Let us think... What could be the possible way to bring back this situation?

Possibly the answer is... Impossible.

Nevertheless dating our own emotions and spending time in silence with no tech gadgets around you... Just think of that moment...

Some might become mad to just leave their cell phone a minute... But this gives us a real smell of self freedom.

Jesus did not experience any such tech products but he taxed himself with his ministries. However he made sure that he spent his silent hours with His father. He enjoy the company of banging silence.

Jesus prepared himself during silence. A prayerful silence teach you the reality.

Psalmist would quote God's word like this : "Be still and know that I am God" ( Ps 46.10)

Let's Pray:
O Lord Jesus, Make me a Channel of your peace. Amen.

Let's listen to this peaceful song of life👇

Reflection - 28 Trust Resides in God

                Trust Resides in God

When we feel like we are abandoned by everyone whom we trust, then life teaches you that no one will be there till the end.

When we feel like we are deceived then life tells you that no one is trustworthy.

When we feel like we are being used and thrown out then life says to you that though you are useful the world wants not you but only your talent.

When you feel hopeless then life tells you, you need someone who can truly love you.

But at all times...

Life gives you a ray of hope which can really transform your life... That ray of hope is none but GOD.

Hearing this may bring you an absurd feeling. Trusting in an unknown entity, not being visible, no talking, unknown love... Etc. etc. bring you a quite travel into an unexpected realm of uncertainties.

Yet that is much better to trust than to live among the people of unfaithful world.

Believing in God brings you a soothing experience... It fosters our conscience to a greater morality and insists our heart for a better humanity.

As Psalmist would rightly say, "Take refuge in God that to trust Mortals" (Ps118:8)

Let's Pray: (in the words of Vedas)

Asatoma Satgamaya Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya Mrityorma Amritamgamaya Om Shanthi! Shanthi! Shanthi!

Which means

O dear Lord bring us back

From Untruth to Truth, From Darkness to Light, From Death to Life, Om Peace Peace Peace.

Amen

Reflection - 27 Sacrificial Sense of Love

                    Sacrificial Sense of Love

No greater love exists than to sacrifice one's life his / her people.

Wow... What a great saying... Isn't it?

But giving our life and not living it with those whom we love... Does it worth living?

I don't think so... We always wanted to live a life with our loved ones. Then what does it mean to sacrifice one's life???

In love one sacrifices his / her to desires, wishes, goals and the entire life into the other who he / she loves.

In love one has to pour out the life of oneself into the other self... So that the other is responsible for the fulfillment of your life. Similarly the other will replenish you with his / her goals into you so that you are responsible for their life.

I understand sacrifice in this way for a better mankind. We, as faithful, are entrusted in the hand of Priests and religious. Simultaneously the priests and religious are entrusted to our hands.

This sacrificial sense of responsibility is mutual and so Jesus said the kingdom of God is among you.

However humans are intrinsically not perfect we are given another important duty to love one another as Jesus loves us. Because He initiated the love. Since God so loved us, we ought to love one another. (1 John 4:11)

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

Since God gave his only son to us it is our utmost responsibility to give ourself to others in love which makes a true sense of sacrifice.

Let's Pray:
O Lord give us the sense of sacrifice in loving others. Amen.

Reflection - 26 Love amidst Rejection

                   Love amidst Rejection

Let us recall the moments when we rejected someone's love for us by just using them at the time of our need and throwing them off like a dog???

Sometime or the other we would have done it in Our life. We might not be aware of that yet we had done that.

At the same we would have also experienced a humiliating rejection by the one, whom we have loved a lot.

Karma awaits...

Okay let us make a small analysis...

Why we face such situation... Either rejecting someone or being rejected by someone.

Most of the times we are blind in finding out the true colour persons who love us and who use us.

Many try to use us... Mostly... Because we are born selfish... Selfishness is an inborn character of ourselves or say to be very decent in saying this... We are born to fight and survive in this world.

Nevertheless we too experience the same rejection...

Love is a peculiar object... Like a magical mirror ball through which you can see one's heart. For those who value it, it shows its magic and for those who do not value it, it is just a paper.

Jesus was very particular in showing love even under thorough rejections. He never hesitated to show mercy on the good ones as well as on the sinners.

He never took up rejection as the symbol of hatredness but as a sign of ignorance. Hence Jesus forgave them even on the cross. Hence we call his love as unconditional because it is the only love that understands humans as humans and not as phenomenal judging panels.

If we do not love the one who loves us... Why don't we tell them instead of using their goodness for your selfish self?

Let us be very genuine atleast in loving someone truly. There is no love that is stained in dirt but is stabbed in heart.

Jesus' love is stabbed one but not a dirt stained rather blood stained for the salvation of humanity.

Let's Pray:
Lord the love incarnate, stain me in your blood to love you and others selflessly. Amen.

Reflection - 25 Prepare Your Last Tick

                   Prepare Your Last Tick

What happens when the ticking clock stops suddenly?

😶😶😶😶

Sorry I don't know....

But what if the notice comes prior to your concern?

What will be the first thing you do?

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I would definitely go and sleep.

You may wonder how would that moment be!!!

But worrying about the last ticking of our life is not so easy as we think it is very difficult to handle.

Only a person who is prepared for the last minute of life will have peaceful heart.

Do not hesitate to believe that someone will accompany you during your last journey. Because they have their own.

A well prepared soul will surely rest in God.

St. Augustine would beautifully say O Lord, Our soul will not rest until it rests in you.

Why don't we use these quarantine days to prepare ourselves for a peaceful death...

I may sound little odd in saying that. But that is a factual statement.

If you are well aware of your death date please make sure the day before your death prepare your death bed.

But if not start preparing for your death from now onwards. Contemplate on the death day. How do you want your death be ?

If you have dreamt about that... Then off you go. Start now.

Jesus was well aware of his death. He wanted such a filthy death to prove mankind that forgiveness, mercy, love surpass death to immortal life.

Jesus is immortal, isn't he?

Yes, he is immortal as Human and eternal as God.

Let's Pray:
O Lord Our soul will not rest until it rests in you. Amen

Reflection - 24 Smile Miles

                          Smile Miles

Smile at every situation

We may at times think who the hell said this statement.

Is it so easy to smile or laugh at worse situations???

Definitely not. Nobody can easily smile when they are sad.

Nobody can easily smile at the demise of their loved ones.

Nobody can actually smile at their utter sickness.

But why should people say that?

We would have seen successful persons putting smile on their face all times as we put masks these days.

Does it mean they don't have problems?

Some of them are suffering behind their smiling faces. Yet they smile outside.

Is this not a bloody idea to hide the original feelings of ours?

Yes very bad😡😡😡

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

But still people say that.... Why?

Let us do a subtle analysis...

What happens when we smile... Physiologically a hormone is released when we smile which increases the adrenaline to be more energetic and positive.

Psychologically when we smile at others it will dissolve the negative aura around you as well as the person we smile at.

But it is very difficult at the time of death.

Smiling at others when we meet them will initiate a polite and positive response from them. This is a very good sign of stirring the humane values of persons.

William Arthur would say

A warm smile is the universal language of kindness

Yes that's absolutely true. Smile adds beauty to our face.

Did Jesus say anything about this???🤔🤔🤔

Jesus says when you fast do not put a gloomy face like hypocrites.

He wants us to smile even under hard circumstances for He says Father in heaven, the one who sees the hidden will answer your prayers.

Hiding our hard times inside to be revealed only to God is more divine than usual.

Smile now and often... God answers you😁😁😁

Let's Pray:
O Lord the joy incarnate, hide me in your smiling heart. Amen.

Take this 👇👇👇👇 smiling pills 😂😂😂😂

Reflection - 23 Nail Your Failure

                     Nail Your Failure
Once there was a person who often fails in what he was doing. One day......

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Do you think that I am going to tell a story...????

Nah....

But there are persons not only 'once' but also 'now and then' faces failure.

It is easy to say Failure is the stepping stone to success. But it is very difficult to take up things lightly.

We put our hard work, practice day and night, put all our efforts but at the end of the day we fail...

Is it so easy to say Let go dude, do well next time?

Yet another day of practice breaks you down too lower than before. Experiencing such insults and pain amidst all our efforts is a great havoc in our life.

Yet what made us fail in that life sport. Have you ever thought of that?

Most of the time we practice like others for their competition but we forget to compete with us first.

You know, Jesus is an utter failure in this world, he was tempted, rejected, angry, scolded as glutton and possessed, prodigal, eating and walking with sinners... at the end he was given the worst death of crucifixion.

What made him so successful till now.....

His own way of being human.
He died... Yes... But he never stopped with that.... He resurrected from the human failure to a divine success.

We need our own moral way of becoming success. You may die for failure but resurrect to be successful.

Let's pray:
Jesus the Lord of resurrection be my soul and renew me for a new of success in you. Amen.

Reflection - 22 Truth Alone is God

                       Truth Alone is God

We have heard people say, Take a coffee, Take a nap, Take your time etc.

Very rarely we hear people say Take a day off

Only when we finish doing their job we could hear them saying Hey buddy, Good job, Take a day off.

Why should they give a day off for us? Do we not have self respect? Are we not humans too?

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

But what underlies all these forces?????

We are humans....... Yes
We have self respect..... Yes
We can freely decide for ourselves.... Yes, Ofcourse

But what determines all these factors????.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

We are truly responsible for the work that has been entrusted to us. In order to fulfil that responsibility our hard work comes into play.

So when we work hard so to fulfil the responsibility don't get weary rather be happy for

What you are is determined by what you do

And also be aware of the Utilitarianistic attitudes posed on you. Do your duty it doesn't mean we are not slaves for everyone.

Doing our job is good, helping the needy is better, being aware of not being misused is the best.

Jesus came to this world to fulfill his duty to save humankind and love them and he did that and fulfilled his responsibility as human as well as god.

Jesus says that his duty is to proclaim Truth.

What is Truth? God is truth

He fulfilled his responsibility

God is Truth and he is God

He is God hence He is Truth

Let's Pray:
Lord the Universal Truth, make me aware of my responsibilities to fulfill and to become more humane. Amen.

Reflection - 21 Just Move On, It's not Easy

Just Move On, It's not Easy
People easily say moving on in life is the best option to be successful. Sometimes moving on is the best way to be selfish...

Is it so?🤔🤔🤔

Yes. Have you ever felt so hard to move on from the circumstances in which you enjoy the most?

Yes it is hard to do so...

Why should people say move on... Because they feel it will hurt you more...

But is there anything that is more hurting than to move on... I don't think so😐

Yes moving on is very hard and sometimes we will suffocate when we happen to move on.

Especially it will pain like stabbing on your chest when you move on from a loved one.

When people treat you like they don't care, believe them.

We may be so honest in relationship but we can't expect the other to be the same.

You lose yourself trying to hold onto someone who doesn't care about losing you.

Though it is hurting and difficult, yet we have to move on. More than your pain your happiness is very important.

Stop looking for happiness in the same place you lost it.

Better and wise decision in life is to throw away the past which will be a nightmare until you are ready to move on.

Never expect the past to love you again because past is already dead. Inhale the future to live the rest of your life.

Jesus taught this attitude of moving on in his call for the disciples. Jesus asked the disciples to Follow Him by leaving the boats, parents, wealth and everything just to move on with Him.

Even particularly we could see that moving on incident in the case of Mary Magdalene, who enjoy prostituting herself. But a drastic encounter with Jesus told her to move on. She did it.

Why can't we???

Let's do it... Follow Jesus... Move on... You will find the Truth...

Let's Pray:
Lord be my boat to move me on to the whirl of your love. Amen.

Let the good shepherd lead you to green pastures👇👇👇👇

Reflection - 20 Goody God & Needy Man

                Goody God & Needy Man

It's been very hard to find a right person to speak about our personal self. None brings a good solution to our problems. We become frustrated...
Why all these???... Is there anybody who can understand our pain???

Don't worry Let us reflect a while on this 👇👇👇

Most of the time we expect somebody else so to say an outside person to share our personal and lean on their shoulder.

We expect such persons because of the reasons below

# We become so much disturbed inside and so we would like to find peace outside

# We never trust our conscience which will always tell us the opposite of what we expect when we are in times of trouble.

# We think the voice of our emotions and mind as the voice of our conscience and confuse ourselves, hence we seek for others to handle our life.

# We trust others' patience and confidentiality than our own self.

# We forget as we are selfish they too are. Because they too are humans.

# We may love the other and seek for their help but make sure they too love you.

# Believing the other is always fine yet believing the right person who really understands you and love you matters a lot.

There are other factors responsible for the failure of getting consolation.

It would a better way. Either be a consolation to your own self or find your own way to God. I always prefer the second one because we humans are dependent beings we need someone aside to strengthen us. Hence going to God for all our needs and wants will help us get through troubles.

Let's Pray:
Lord my dear God be my need and want at all times. Amen.

Let us listen to this song👇👇👇 which says God is our Mother, Father, Friend and everything we need.

Reflection - 19 Find God in Pain

                      Find God in Pain

It would be very nice to have a volunteered company when we feel bored. At the same it would be so annoying when someone accompanies us to talk when we are almost on bed to sleep.

Human actions are horribly situational. Mostly we act according to our wants and not according other's needs.

Sometimes it will be terribly devastating when someone comes and spoils all our well planned schedule.

At that time most of our's reaction would be "Oh Shit! Who the hell called him/her now?"

The only heavenly being who had lived a complete human life in this world is Jesus Christ. He put himself into the shoes of the other and experienced their pains.

If you want to cry, Jesus will never stop you from doing it. He lets you cry, shed away the brokenness of heart by the tiredness of the body, and finally he comes to give a consoling caress. It is merely a human way of dealing with our emotions.

At times we feel God wants us to suffer. But it is not so. God wants us to relax. Nobody wants us to disturb while we experience pain though our mind expects for a company, the truth is that it wants to be alone for sometimes.

Our God is an awesome and perfect human and a everlasting loving God. None can be compared with the love of Christ. No human has fully imitated that perfect love after Jesus.

So when you are in pain experience it, Jesus waits very next to you to rest yourself in him. Our bodies find rest in physical relaxation but our soul in God.

Let's Pray:
Lord Let nothing trouble us for you alone is enough for us. Amen.

Let us hear that prayer in the words of St. Theresa of Avila 👇👇👇👇

Reflection - 18 In Need of Transformation

                 In need of Transformation

Have you ever thought of your body is kept on the altar instead of a white host during the consecration time of the mass???

Let us think of the experience of our body becomes the body of Christ.

Let us think of how the transubstantiation occurs in our body???

But still our flesh is never be equivalent to bear such transformation...

I used to imagine what if the priest cuts me off and distributes to people???

🤢🤢🤢🤢 Yaak... Isn't it?

But this happens really in the body of Christ. Yet in a very different and acceptable form. Jesus is ever ready to transform Himself according to our spiritual convenient.

But are we ready to do that...?

Many saints did that through their ardent devotion to Eucharist...

St. Martin De Porres, St. Dominic Savio, St. Joseph of Cupertino etc. experienced such change in their human body through the gift of levitation.

St. Antony it is through bilocation,

St. Francis of Assisi, St. Pio, St. Rita etc. through their holy wounds

There are so many examples...

One of the greatest examples is St. Joseph, the Father of Jesus. Though he did not give human birth to Jesus yet transformed himself into a responsible Father all the time for the born Lord of the universe to be held in his hands.

We too need this transformation... Need not be levitating, bearing holy wounds or bilocating which are actually possible by our holiness of life yet let us offer our cordially transformed self on the altar.

Let's Pray:
O Lord Mould me by Your Holy Hands. Amen

Please listen to this song and begin your day👇👇👇

Share this to others and make them begin the day of transformation...

Reflection - 17 Carmel Choice

                        Carmel Choice

(On the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel - July 16)

Life sometimes makes itself harder to journey through. At one instance, extreme happiness, another instance extreme sadness. Sometimes an imbalanced and wavery mediocritical situations.

But a small ray of hope which arises from our belief will open the door of possibilities.

Our belief in God will take our work to the highest.

I was listening to a sermon by a priest today. The main theme of his sermon is this. We focus more onto the worldly things and find them so appealing, pacifying and delightful.

But life is not all about enjoyment it is about balancing both good and bad.

Choosing the right one is in our hands. Our faith in God will increase until we strive hard in believing.

God will intervene and provide the need. This is well furnished in the incident of the Apparition of Mother Mary at Mount Carmel.

God finds Mother Mary as the best source to convey the heavenly message in a motherly way. So let us also pray for a conscious freedom of right choice.

Let's Pray:
Lord Jesus be my finger to choose the right one. Amen.

Reflection - 16 Betrayal

                               Betrayal

Just this question👇 lingers my mind often...

Why do people betray in a relationship?

There are various factors behind the above question which I would like state below👇

1. Improper understanding
2. Impurity of Love
3. Least priority given
4. More expectations
5. Less expression

And many other too...

One may wonder how these factors affect a person to betray a loved one...

Actually do u know if that person really loved you???

Or if that person does really want you to be less prioritized???

Or Does the relationship make out of love???

Answer these questions you will find the answer. In any relationship such questions will give you answer. The first of all these is to find out whether we do commit ourselves truly to it?

If so... Then find out the answers outside.

But I tell you the greater love can never be compared with Jesus' love. Humans betray you though you are faithful, hate you though you are loving, leave you when you need them, punish you even when you are sorry, never be with you till the end...

But Jesus does my dear ones... Psalmist would beautifully say Take refuge in the Lord than to trust these mortals (Ps 118:8)

Let's Pray:
Lord be with me in all my seconds of Life. Amen.

Reflection - 15 Fearless to Fight

                           Fearless to Fight

Hope you all enjoy these days.

I was watching a movie called IT

It is about a clown which feeds on the fear of the people and makes itself stronger and eats them. It is a horror movie yet has a very important message.

The clown attack recurs once in 27 years. A boy whose younger brother was killed by the clown and so he gathers a group of youngsters to take revenge on the clown.

The story ends when they finally encounter the nasty man-eating-clown fearlessly which makes IT die for that season.

So the message of that movie is this...

Our life will be in trouble only when we are weak by being fearful. The dreadful monstrous clown represent the virus spread which feeds on our fear. When we encounter this situation boldly without any fear we can easily win this race.

Being fearless increases our immune power. We can even fight any evil.

We could see the same situation in Bible when Jesus encountered Satan in the desert land. Jesus was fearless and faced the evil without any fear.

The fearless attitude is possible only by being the  staunchest observer of the Word of God. Jesus used the Word to chase evil away.

Let's Pray:
Lord the Eternal Word, dwell in me deep down my heart and build me up in your Spirit. Amen.

Reflection - 14 Challenge Yourself

                   Challenge Yourself

Waking up lately, eating nicely, sitting quietly on a morning and resting and relaxing is always beautiful...

But these days we do them often. In enjoying our own leisure time we forget many marvelous habits.

Why don't we take up a new challenge in this challenging situation and work on it ???

Challenging oneself is very important in leading our life far ahead of our times.

Let us challenge our heart towards the Lord and remember many saints in that way.

Let's Pray:
O Lord Lead me into the green pastures. AMEN

Reflection - 13 Facebook of Love

                      Facebook of Love
Often we experience a sort love-hate war inside our heart. We try to tackle that with our brain. But you know what... we eventually fail.

Why???

Because we deal the wrong areas with a wrong tool. Most of the time we experience an imbalance in our emotions.

We may doubt the person whom we love might not love us.

We doubt that the planned event to express our love to them, could collapse.

We doubt the loyalty of the person whom we love...

Bla... Bla... Bla...

Have we ever thought if that person really loved us like we do???

Perhaps... Here we have to analyse the attitudes of different people.

The one who loves us
1. May not show that love but still loves us like no one does
2. May express a lot but comparatively we are not better for them.
3. May expect you to show that and enjoy being loved
4. May not know how to express and so collapse the situation

There are also other people who really do not love you at all but pretend as though, since we love them more than anything.

The above people will be
1. Reluctant to you always
2. Using your goodness and lend their love to another
3. Trying to end the conversation sooner though they have a lot of time to spare
4. Comfortable in hurting you at all cost.

But their is a perfect example for an earthly love.

JESUS

Jesus is the one who gave his life for the love he had on us. No other gods came down to live amidst us to redeem us by giving the life as a cost of all our sins.

💓His Love is💖
Unconditional🥰
Eternal😇
True😘
Incomparable☺️
So Tasty😉

Let us not forget one thing in our life. Nobody in this world forgive your sins and accept you even when you love them. But Jesus does even when you don't love Him.

Because he is Madly fallen in love with you.

Let's Pray:
Jesus the dearest of my heart, Let me live in your love. AMEN

Reflection - 12 Eat the Word

                          Eat the Word
Hope you do better in these quarantine. This pandemic is a big lesson for our life. Let us make a quick comparison.

Take for example
# Corona Virus = Sin
# COVID 19 = Sinful Attitude
# Pandemic = Worldwide spread of the sin
# Lockdown rules = Word of God

It is very simple. When we do not obey the word of God, the virus will never die and the pandemic continues and meanwhile we become sinful day after day.

Why we could control the spread of this virus in India??? It is nothing but the same attitude of going behind sin. The lock down is being misused and not being used properly. Hence as like sin the virus spreads everywhere.

Let us grow a strong conviction in our hearts to follow the Word of God. Try to read the entire Bible in these days atleast once.

For the Word of God is a double edged sword... It will cut the virus into pieces and burn it to death.

Let's Pray:
O Lord make my heart stick to your Word. Amen.

Reflection - 11 Faith in its Prosperity

                    Faith in its Prosperity

Faith is the not a ritual but it is an attitude.

Have you known the day you started to have faith in God?

Probably I don't remember...
If you know that particular day pls tell me..

At times in life we experience a sort of dryness where we find no one to console, understand, help and especially no one to love.

The agony at that time is unexplainable. The world will accuse you and label you by your mistakes and never come down from its seats to help you and accept you...

When we encounter such a situation only faith in God still remains.

Faith tells You have another way to go, don't depend on the locked doors which never invite you. I will show you plenty of good ones who accept you as you are.

Hence never ever leave your faith in God because Faith is the only platform where God dances rhythmically in our life.

Let's Pray:
Lord Jesus, increase my faith. Amen

Reflection - 10 United in Nature

                         United in Nature

O God beautiful, O God beautiful,
At Thy feet, O I do bow!
O God beautiful, O God beautiful,
In the forest Thou art green;
In the mountain Thou art high;
In the river Thou art restless;
In the ocean Thou art grave;
O God beautiful, O God beautiful,
At Thy feet, O I do bow!
O God beautiful, O God beautiful,
To the serviceful Thou art service;
To the lover Thou art love;
To the sorrowful Thou art sympathy;
To the yogi Thou art bliss.
O God beautiful, O God beautiful,
At Thy feet, O I do bow!
O God beautiful, O God beautiful!

Hope you all have heard this poem... Till today this poem by Guru Nanak lingers in our ears as and when we think of the beauty of nature.

Nature gives us enormous things to ponder over. The very history of the world starts with the origin of natural components.

Biologically, so far, we are nature's highest evolutions. Geographically we are oriented towards the land in which we make our sustenance possible.

We have the utmost responsibility to safeguard the home we live in.

This beautiful nature tells us three things...

1. We are the co workers in the marvelous creation of God.
2. As nature is an systematic entity, being evolved from nature, we too have to systematise our life.
3. We are nowhere greater unless we are united.

Thus let's be united in the creative work of God as one human community.

Let's Pray:
Lord of the Universe, create in me a clean heart to cleanse my surroundings and make me conscious in what I do. Amen.

Reflection - 9 Ask, Knock & Search

                 Ask, Knock & Search

We have heard Jesus' one of the  famous  sayings "Ask you shall receive, knock and it will be open to you and search you will find it."

Beautiful words aren't they?
Really soothing, really good to listen to and to be very frank it's practically not easy.

The world we live in looks only the outer phenomenon which literally betrays the senses of human beings. The above statement can only be possible with great demands.

If we need anything that is of dire need we have three golden steps which Jesus taught us having two options as answers for them.

# First Ask them for what you need (three types)
      1. Ask politely
      2. Ask reasonably
      3. Ask strongly

If it is given upon trying at various levels Thank God

If not given again Thank God for you have a better step to proceed with.

# Secondly Knock the doors (three types)
       1. Knock gently
       2. Knock heavy
       3. Knock and break it

If the door is open for you Thank God

If not once again Thank God for you have another beautiful way to proceed with.

# Third most important step after trying with our genuine self is to Search elsewhere

We believe in God's forgiveness and mercy and his outpouring providence. Yet God has endowed humans with freedom.

We do commit mistakes by this same freedom and forgive one another with God's grace and human freedom.

Most of the time we go by our said statements which we never want to revoke on the grounds of God's merciful will.

We think we become God by a temporary phenomenal judgement of the others. But we should know one important thing we will be forgiven by God for the sins that are forgiven by us

The above particular verse conveys enormous hidden messages. We, humans are not perfect in our state. Intrinsically we are sinners with our full consciousness. Hence we are called not to judge anybody rather to be a living instruments of God's mercy.

Thank God for He has given ways to find His mercy and love in a right place.

Let's Pray:
Jesus the dearest of my heart, help me to find You amidst this value-hardened world. Amen.

Reflection - 8 Who are You to Judge?

                 Who are You to Judge?

Let us reflect upon "Judging"

We heard people question us at times "Who are you to judge me?"

Because in many occasions we judge people wrongly. That is really an anti Christian value.

Judging usually happens out of three grounds

# Out of Appearances
# Out of Behaviour / Attitude
#Out of Habits

We mostly judge a person on the first ground which is totally a mess to a Christian life. Their habits and attitude are only partial expressions of their psyche. We never analyse why a person acts or reacts in such a way to be judged wrongly by you. It is not voluntary but a psychological thrust.

We judge them wrongly because we are self constructed to see the reality from our own perspective and not from Jesus' perspective.

Hence Jesus says, Do not Judge so that you may not be judged.

I become more humane when I find the mind of Christ working in me while I judge others. Jesus never judged anybody. He only forgave them because Jesus completely knew who the person was and so he never wanted to hurt them by words. He knew words are very sharp.

In these times we simply judge dead one's. If death is because of viral infection we literally isolate their family friends and everyone related to them. What a inhuman activity?

Are we afraid of this pandemic? If so we are no more a Christian!... We should be careful so that we may not be the cause of the spread of virus but still turning to God in prayer is very important.

Let's not make a false judgment because it may ruin a Person's life to a greater extent.

You will be forgiven for the sins you forgive

Let's pray:
O My Jesus, the Loving Lord, grant us the courage to accept everyone as they are in the journey to heaven. Amen.

Reflection - 7 Life of Hope

                         Life of Hope

Have you found yourself hopeless at times?

Perhaps many would have been in that situation. We expect a small string of hope to arise in distance. We try to catch that, at times we find it difficult.

On many occasions we become more and more like Jews who tried to stone a women for committing adultery. Jesus the real father creates a riot in their hearts, "Where is the man with whom she has committed such sin." None answered that question.

Jesus just said that women one thing, "Go and Sin no more." Who else will say that and who else will accept us by understanding our complete self. Only Jesus does. No human could resemble Jesus in his or her life till now, because they are afraid of death. Jesus lived a life for death and for dying.

Jesus is the man of life. He was never even afraid of the earthly authorities. He embraced everyone from very rich man to the utmost sinner.

We, humans make ourselves a camouflage according to the so called authorities and die to sin.

Living amidst this pandemic we also find ourselves hopeless for our sustenance.

This global pandemic is just an addition to our personal pandemic of heart by the hating, merciless, coward,
Reluctant, selfish people out there.

Let us learn the art of acting which is very important these days. Let us actualise our inner self by acting like Jesus and none else.

As St. Paul would say "have the mind of Christ" we try it in this way.

# What would have been the reaction of Jesus when he encounters personal discomfort of dishonesty and selfishness by others?

# What if he is disturbed by the temptations to anger when he witnesses a blasphemy to his temple?

# What if he is hopeless as a human?

Let's Pray:
Dear Lord nothing seems to be so good than to sit near you and leaning on your shoulders and enjoying the bliss of love. Grant me Lord to take a right stand for the hopeless and wreck. AMEN

Reflection - 6 Resurrected to Reside

                      Resurrected to Reside

Sundays are dedicated to contemplate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus. As we start reflecting Jesus as Risen Lord we always separate him from us to heaven as the arts picturise it. But Jesus the Risen Lord is not so far from us. He is risen so as to be with us.

Let us imagine a Jesus who normally comes out from the cave and speaks to Mary Magdalene. That was the real resurrection purpose. Jesus Himself said that when he ascended in to heaven, "I will be with you till the end of the days."

In this pandemic time we are in need of a strong reflection of our Lord Jesus as the good shepherd. Let us personalize this lockdown experience as the desert experience. Though we sit and ear well we starve spiritually. Hence let us look up to the heightened spiritual endeavour and the worldly affairs to the least.

We are also in need of priests who are not just priests but also a father who cares us in all our difficult times of life. But the situation made all the priests as just priests and social workers there are no opportunities for them to fulfill their duties as a father which is their priority of life.

Let us remember them and pray for them that they may be strengthened spiritually and humanly by the divine.

Let's Pray:

O Lord the Good Shepherd, lead us into the green pastures to lay aside your sweet bosom and enjoy the heavenly bliss. Amen

Reflection - 5 Power of Prayer

                      Power of Prayer

You might have heard people say prayer is the best source of communication to God.

We started praying during the initial lockdown time. But many of our prayers faded by now.

Because we could see that whatever effort they put to pray go in vain. So we have a sort of reluctancy towards prayers. However we pray with hope.

Do believers need to pray? Will prayer solve their problems?

Yes.

It is Psychologically proven that if a person prays for an intention he / she keeps that intention not only in mind but also in heart. So biologically the intensity of that intention increases and the power of such aura will work out with divine power.

When human power enjoins the divine segment it actualises the phenomenal events.

Socrates would say, எண்ணங்கள் சரியானால் எல்லாம் அழகே.

The world famous book The Secret clearly explains about this Man-Divine power.

Let us not underestimate the power of prayer. Let us continue to pray especially for the suffering other.

Let's pray:
O Lord! Grant me the grace to converse with you through prayer.  AMEN.

Reflection - 4 Unless You are Useful

                      Unless You are Useful

World comes to you until you are useful to it.

To be very Simple survival of the fittest lives.

I may be too harsh in saying this but this is the reality. 90% of people come to you only when you are useful. We go to a person to fulfil our needs or wants. Most of the times we never reach out a person to fulfil their needs. We reach them to use them and throw them after using.

Have we ever put ourselves into their shoes and felt what they really need?...

Have we ever mercifully glanced their sorrows and helped them?...

If you have done something by burning your finger for the needy you are my Jesus...

Jesus set a great example to the world. He went to people who are in need. His very incarnation is a good news for the poor, downtrodden, oppressed. A very few people Iive like Jesus and became saints.

Let us examine ourselves...

Are we using people and throwing them to fulfil our need???

Jesus says to you "You are an adulterous generation."

Let's Pray:
O dear Lord Jesus Christ, Make me a channel of your Love, that I may never be so Utilitarianistic in my attitude, never be so selfish in accessing humanity and never be indifferent to others' suffering. Amen.

May the crucified Lord be near our hearts.

Rejoice Always

Reflection - 3 Golden Rule

Do to others as you have them do to you.

We as humans always have a hard feeling towards the word Rule. In one way or the other we might have disliked anyone rule perhaps.

Even the Golden Rule of our Lord Jesus might sometimes be forgotten when we illtreat others.

Let us analyse this golden rule now. Do to others as you want them to do to you.

To be very simple, the rule conveys the message Treat others with due respect as they possess by themselves. This definition would be so Altruistic. But when we keenly analyse the rule we could find three elements that are to given utmost importance.

1. The way we treat others (Altruistic - other centered)
2. The way we want to be treated (Egoistic - Self centered)
3. The way we put ourselves into their shoes to understand how to treat them. (Humanistic)

The third element is very important. We should know what is the others' situation and put ourselves in their place and should treat them. Let me tell you a short story.

There once lived a monkey and a fish. The monkey followed the golden rule, always trying to treat others as he wanted to be treated. But he sometimes applied the golden rule foolishly. Now one day a big flood came. As the threatening waters rose, the foolish monkey climbed a tree to safety. Then he looked down and saw a fish struggling in the water. He thought, "I wanted to be lifted from the water." So he reached down and grabbed the fish from the water, lifting him to safety on a high branch. Of course that didn't work. The fish died.

The foolish monkey applied the golden rule literally: treat others as you want to be treated. He wanted to be taken from the water, so he took the fish from the water. He didn't consider how fish and monkeys differ. Being taken from the water saves a monkey but kills a fish.

We live in a country where we could see the division of people by their economic status, colour, class & most importantly Caste.

Golden rule is best suitable for this casteist country. We discriminate people in a hierarchical structure. We as Christians should make ourselves conscious in progressing towards the kingdom of God by considering ourselves to the lowest.

As Jesus said in Luke 17:21 The Kingdom of God is among you. - is possible only when we treat ourselves in place of others and treat them as we wanted them to be treated in their position.

Let's pray:
Oh Jesus the doer of Golden Rule, make ourselves fully aware of the abilities to treat others as they wanted them to be treated. Amen.
